No player in league history has had an immediate impact on two franchises in such a short time frame like LeBron James has had. James has changed the fortunes of teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat during his illustrious career in the National Basketball Association. However, out of the two teams that he has impacted the most, it would be the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In James second act with the Cavs, the team went from being a ball club that would be selecting a player in the lottery portion of the NBA Draft to a perennial contender in the Eastern Conference. To go along with his return to Cleveland, he contributed to the city winning their first world title in professional sports in over 52 years.
That’s the kind of impact LeBron has had in the NBA. Everywhere he has been, teams find instant success. I believe that players such as Kobe Bryant would not have the type of impact on a franchise like LeBron James has had if he was going to leave the Los Angeles Lakers.
I would classify LeBron James as being a hybrid player in today’s NBA. He can turn into a dynamic scorer when needed, or he can play the position of point guard which would allow other teammates to be successful.
To name a few of LeBron’s many accolades, he has been to a league record seven NBA Finals, three world championships, and thirteen straight All-Star appearances.
