Let’s be honest, the games that have been televised on NBC’s Sunday Night Football has not lived up to their billing lately. Hopefully, the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals can change some of that.
These two football clubs have been at the top of the NFC West for the past three seasons. So far, both teams will contend for the NFC West Title once again. Last season, the Cardinals were the team that was off to the fast start while the Seahawks were struggling to stay afloat at the beginning of the season.
Fast forward to 2016 and the roles have been reversed for both franchises. The Seahawks are in sole possession of the NFC West, while the Cardinals are slowly climbing back to relevance in the division. The Seahawks secondary must eliminate the Cardinals opportunity to throw the football down the field to their plethora of weapons at the wide receiver position.
They must also minimize the number of big plays that running back David Johnson is capable pulling off in this football match as well. The Seahawks offense needs to score points if they want to leave Glendale, Arizona with a victory this Sunday Night. With the inconsistency that their offense is known to having, they cannot afford to struggle against the Cardinals this Sunday.
As for the Cardinals, Carson Palmer cannot turn the football over in this contest. If he does, it will be a long night down in the desert for the Cardinals. Everybody knows that playing on a short field is the Seahawks best friend. Palmer is more than capable of allowing that to happen if he commits a couple of turnovers against the Seahawks tomorrow night.
My prediction for this football game is that the Seahawks will extend their lead in the NFC West Division with a victory against the Cardinals this Sunday. Carson Palmer does not tend to perform at high level in games of this magnitude. Expect Palmer to turn it over late in this ball game, which might cost the Cardinals to lose this football game.
