This Sunday, the infamous “Deflate-Gate” saga continues when the Indianapolis Colts will try to avenge their 45-7 loss against the New England Patriots. Colts quarterback Andrew Luck returns to the lineup after missing two consecutive games with a shoulder injury. So far the Colts have gotten off to a rough start in 2015. They were expected by many around the league to represent the AFC in Super Bowl 50.
Even though they have a winning record, the Colts have struggled to put away teams that they are supposed to beat. The front office still has not surrounded Luck by a solid offensive line. The horrible O-line play this season has shown us how important it is to surround an elite quarterback with a legitimate offensive line to be successful. For the Colts to win this game, they must capitalize on any mistakes that the Patriots may make in this contest.
Right now the Pats are playing like the clear-cut favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. This matchup was supposed to be the game that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady returns from his four-game suspension for his alleged participation in the “Deflate-Gate” Scandal. However, Brady decided to fight the four-game suspension in court which eventually got overturned.
As a result of that, the Pats are 4-0 and in 1st place in the AFC East. The talk of the Buffalo Bills possibly dethroning the Patriots in the division has died down among NFL analyst. Even though Andrew Luck has been cleared to play in Sunday Night’s big matchup, we still do not know what type of condition he will be at once the ball snaps. The Patriots better take advantage of this opportunity if Luck is not at full strength in this contest.
My prediction for this ball game is the Patriots will dominate every aspect of this fight. Belichick and Brady owned Peyton Manning in this rivalry; now they own Andrew Luck. No matter what the opposition is, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will always figure out a way to exploit an opposing team’s weakness. He will look to do the same against the Colts this Sunday.
