Cleveland Browns head coach, Hugh Jackson has decided to name Robert Griffin III, the team’s starting quarterback for the 2016 season. To me, the decision to name Griffin the starter was a no-brainer. Did you think that third round pick Cody Kessler out of USC had a chance of winning the starting job over RG3?
Jackson and the Browns front office want to come in and have an impressive 1st season in Cleveland. To accomplish that, RG3 gives them the opportunity to make that happen. Right now, it is Griffin’s job to lose in Cleveland, however; the bigger issue at hand will be, how long will Hugh Jackson hold on to RG3 if he starts off to a slow start this season.
If so the whispers of Cody Kessler will be mentioned among members of the Cleveland Browns media. If Robert Griffin III can succeed under Hugh Jackson’s guidance, then it will show that he deserves to be in the higher echelon of top quarterback whispers it the NFL right now.
If the Browns can establish a legitimate passing game with wide receivers Corey Coleman and Josh Gordon along with a solid running game, then the Browns may have a shot at making the playoffs this season. Browns fans better have their fingers crossed.
