Gridiron Fanatic Player of the Week: Joe Flacco

In last Sundays matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco decided slammed the door on the hopeless Bucs in the first half when he threw for 306 yards and five touchdown passes.

This is certainly the best I have seen Flacco performed since he led the Ravens to an upset victory over the Denver Broncos in the 2012 AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

The game was 38-0 going into the second half until the Bucs decided to show up and play some football. Many fans disagreed with me when I stated that the Ravens have the potential to become Super Bowl contenders in 2014, I wonder what those haters are saying now.

I know it’s the first half of the season, however the Steelers are not what they used to be and the Bengals are afraid to take ownership of the division even though they are the best team in the AFC North on paper. Don’t be surprised if the Ravens run the table and take this division and become the Big Bully that they are used to being in the AFC North.
