The Dallas Cowboys are still in control of their own destiny even though they lost in last week’s game against division rival the New York Giants 10-7. However, the loss came with some controversy about Tony Romo regaining the job as the Cowboys starting quarterback. Over the past few ball games, Dak Prescott has struggled a bit even though the Cowboys came out victorious.
He will have a chance to get back on track this Sunday Night when the Cowboys host the red-hot Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs have won five straight ball games and will look to make it a sixth against the Cowboys tomorrow night.
They are also in a fight with the Atlanta Falcons for first place in the NFC South along with being the projected sixth seed in NFC Playoff Picture. The Bucs offense poses numerous problems for the Cowboys defense in this matchup. They will have to figure out a way to contain star wide receiver Mike Evans who is having a breakout season in 2016.
You can expect quarterback Jameis Winston to connect with Evans early and often in this football game. Tampa Bay’s defense has also been playing a lot better during their five-game winning streak. They are ranked 21st in the league in total defense right now, but they are trending up in the right direction as the season progresses.
Dak Prescott must not turn the football over in this football game and give Jameis Winston and the Bucs offense a short field to work with in this contest. The Cowboys secondary has not faired well against the league’s best wideouts. If they allow Winston to get the football via turnover, it will be a long night for the Cowboys down in “Jerry World.”
My prediction for this ball game is that Tampa Bay Buccaneers will leave AT&T Stadium with a victory over the Cowboys tomorrow night. Even though the Cowboys may lose tomorrow night, rookie Dak Prescott should be the team’s starting quarterback going forward. Jason Garrett needs to find out how Prescott handles adversity as the quarterback of the league’s most popular franchise.
