Two of the most successful college basketball coaches in the last 20 years will face each other in the semi-finals of the 2015 Men’s Final Four. Those coaches are Michigan State Spartans Tom Izzo and the Duke Blue Devils Mike Krzyzewski. These two greats have a combined total of 19 Final Four appearances and 6 National Titles on their resume. That’s an amazing feet for two head coaches to accomplish in a sport that is constantly evolving. It’s no surprise that the Michigan State Spartans are once again in the Final Four.

Tom Izzo always motivates his players to accomplish the task at hand. You should also not consider them a “dark horse” in the tournament due to the fact that they are the seven seed in the tournament. Seeds 1 thru 9 should never be considered “sleepers” in the field of 65. Outside of their conference rival the Wisconsin Badgers the Blue Devils will be the Spartans toughest challenge this season. Duke has one of the best players of the 2014-2015 season in Jahlil Okafor.

Okafor will look to impose his will on the battle tested Spartans this Saturday. The Spartans can win this matchup but it will take a team effort to do it. If there is any team that knows the concept of team effort it would be the Spartans. Coach Izzo has guided this team thru some tough times this season however it will only get tougher when they take on the Blue Devils in the Final Four.

My prediction for this game is that the Spartans will give the Blue Devils all they can handle but will not succeed because they will run into a buzz saw in a Jahlil Okafor and the Duke Blue Devils. However fans should not underestimate the big game experience of Tom Izzo in situations such as this one.
